We took a quick trip down to Utah in mid-September to see my brother & his family. They live in Missouri, but were in the Provo area visiting their family and friends so we just had to pop in and see them. We miss them and don't get to see them often enough . It was just for the weekend, but we packed in lots of fun and TONS of pictures. It was a rare chance to have all the siblings together.
Kenny & Brittani's newest little boy -- Eli. Isn't he sweet?
This is an example of how someone who knows a little bit more about photography can take a great picture with my camera. I still just don't know what to do besides "point and shoot."
Good job Janelle -- great shot of Camille.
A family photo of Kenny & Brit and their boys
Sadie & her cousin Maddie were happy to pose for the camera
After lunch in the park, most of the "men folk" and "the big kids" headed to the BYU game. For my kids it was their first real sports event they've ever attended and it had been years since Eric had been to a college game. They had a great time. And BYU won...what a bonus!!
After a bit more playing, the rest of us headed over to my Grandma & Grandpa Jensen's house to spend the remainder of the afternoon and evening. We spent the afternoon chatting and catching up. Then when the BYU game gang came back, we decided to try some formal (or not so formal) group shots to share with my mom. All her kids & grandkids were together in one place...we had to document it for posterity's sake.
The boy cousins
The girl cousins -- they still outnumber the boys, but the boys are catching up
All Grannie & Pop's Grandkids
This is how everyone felt after being forced to sit for pictures -- Colby expressed it so well
We had a great meal out on the patio. This REALLY takes me back. I remember countless BBQ's like this in my childhood. Makes me miss all my cousins!!!
I just really liked this picture of Rach & Ismael -- they look so happy
I loved this shot of Kenny (my baby brother) holding his baby
Next up, it was the adults turn to pose for some group shots. Ugggghhhh, but it needed to be done...
The 3 sisters
"Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters..."
(name the movie this line came from -- hint: it was sung in a song)
The 4 Williams kids
(in age order from L to R...which also happens to be in reverse height order)
The William kids & spouses -- you'd think this would be simple, but we took about 10 shots and we either had eyes closed, people looking weird places, or Eric making goofy faces in every one.
It's a little blurry, but this is the best we got.
While all the adults were posing for pictures, Becca took a spill off the patio steps. So sad.
Kids enjoying ice cream (there is ALWAYS ice cream at Grandma's house)
and just being goofy kids. This also brings back such memories.
Grandma & Grandpa Jensen
Thanks for hosting a great party and for being such good examples to us all.
I love you!

Okay, I just had to add this shot -- how is this for getting garden fresh tomatoes?
She is eating them literally off the vine. (sorry it is such a dark pic -- but it was dusk)

Oh my goodness I love this post! It was like the best day ever huh? Or at least the best pictures. :)
Great pics, Heather! I loved it. It's not surprising that BYU won that game, (ahh, good times!)... but now they keep losing!! Bummer! Thanks for blogging. It inspires me and Mommy to hurry up and work on our blog too!--Sienna
This post made me cry! I miss all my cousins and parties at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's!
