We had planned to camp with Eric's sister and brother and their families...but his sister had to cancel (sad) so it was just Devin's family and ours. We camped in the Big Hole Mountains...only about 30 minutes away from our home. Which was a good thing, because I actually had to run back home soon after we got there because I forgot two very CRUCIAL things...all of our pillows and my camera. Now, I can rough it as well as the next girl (not really), but I will not sleep without a pillow and what good is a camping trip without fun pictures to document it!!! As Renae and I drove back to the house to get these essentials we actually made a list of 5 other things we "forgot" or "wished we had packed" so it was well worth the trip back. And when we arrived back at camp, dinner was done and ready to eat. Perfect timing!!
Our camp...Our tent is behind the Cruiser so you can't see it.
There was a big meadow right next to our camp spot.
The kids had a great time roaming around in it.
We had a good amount of "sitting around the campfire" time...one of my favorite parts of camping.
My 4 Campers...they are camping experts already...much tougher than their mama!
This is Cousin Liam. My kids adore him...and you can see why! He was so "at one with the wilderness"...
As you can see by the dirt all over his happy, happy face!!
Devin's other cute boys
More fun Campfire Pictures:
morning we went on a nice family hike. It wasn't long...but it was VERY steep. And yes, if you look closely you will notice that Devin and Eric are armed. This is bear country and you know what they say...better safe than sorry. Gulp.

A Father-Son game of catch out in the meadow

You can't go camping without giving a shout out to Eric's trailer.
It is so nice to have a sink and stove wherever you go!!
It makes sissy-campers (like me) able to go into the wild, back country!
Thanks sweetie!!
Maybe the best part about camping is
completely and utterly wearing out
your kids from all the good clean
(actually dirty) fun!!
