Spring -- Rexburg Style

Spring in Rexburg is like a roller coaster ride. One day is warm and sunny; the next is a full on blizzard.

We finally got rid of all our snow in the yard about 3 weeks ago. It was nice to see the grass again, even if it was dead and brown. We had a couple days with highs in the 50's and even one day in the 60's. The kids were breaking out the shorts and fighting me about wearing jackets (even though it was still in the 30's in the morning). Then came one of the biggest snow storms of the year. We got a foot in just a few hours. Back to winter. Sigh. Colby made this big, rather odd looking snowman.

But the temps soared back up into the 60's this week. The snow all melted, and the daffodils shot up and bloomed...seemingly overnight. Spring has prevailed!!! Hooray. Although, we know that it wouldn't be out of the question to see snow again, I think we are done with the worst of it. I hope!

One more fun Spring pic I just wanted to throw in here:
My girls love to dress up special for any occasion and St. Patrick's Day is no exception.
Here they are sporting their green.
