So here are just a few of the things that the kids have been up to:
SADIE:
Sadie dressing up like a "100 year old" for some school spirit day...
maybe celebrating something about Dr. Seuss.
Not sure. But I thought she did a pretty good job of it.
Sadie's first piano recital
She took part in the Piano Lab at BYU-Idaho. 10 weeks of piano instruction by a Music Major.
She really enjoyed it and did quite well.
COLBY:
Blue & Gold Banquet
Every boy had to make a dessert for the theme: Resourcefulness
Ours was the "Compost Pile" -- chocolate cake with gummy worms in it
Pinewood Derby -- Colby's car wasn't the fastest...but it was definitely the coolest
This fish skeleton car designed by Colby and Eric was very impressive
RENAE:
Renae was Snow White in her 7th grade Drama play
She was an obnoxious, bratty version of Snow White
She played the part very well!
Renae went out for track this year.
She hasn't really found "her event" yet, but she has tried the 100, 200, 400, and the long jump.
MASON:
Mason's band did a Star Wars themed show. It was actually very impressive.
It was a cross between Marching Band and Concert Band. In the show Mason got to have a Light Saber battle with this guy here (the one pointing the blaster at him). Mason was in heaven.
And looky what we have here...a DRIVER!!!
After 3 weeks of daily Driver's Ed classes
and 12 weeks of Behind the Wheel Drives with an instructor,
Mason is the proud owner of a Learners Permit. Yep, he is still 14 and legal to drive.
Isn't Idaho crazy! And boy do I feel old.

The pace of your life makes me dizzy just thinking about it, but you are doing a good job keeping it all together. You are all amazing!
Actually, Mason turned 15 on the day you posted this blog right? But he started driving a while back when he was still 14--crazy Idaho! Didn't know he'd taken the drivers ed classes first--that's good. :)
