We stayed at my cousin Vanessa's house in Meridian (a suburb of Boise). She, her husband John and their son Robby were wonderful hosts. My cousin and I are 10 years apart so we were never close growing up but we really hit it off and had a great time. They introduced us to a lot of fun games (and even Eric, a non-gamer, played!) They took us on multiple "driving tours" of Boise and the surrounding areas. It has some beautiful neighborhoods, is one of the cheapest places in the West to live, and is really clean and uncrowded for a big city. It is on our list of possible places to live after graduation.
We got together for a BBQ with my other cousin Scott and his family at the Green Belt (a beautiful park and recreation area around the river). It was fun to catch up and let the kids get to know each other. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of everyone. A freak storm came in out of no where and almost blew us away but it was over quickly and then we had a nice evening.
We dropped in on my other cousin Russell and his family only hours after they returned from a weekend long camping trip. They generously let us in and we chatted for an hour. Sadly, no pictures.
Can you believe I even have another cousin in Boise who we weren't able to see. Crazy cousin town for me.
Speaking of cousins....Eric's cousin Lowell and his family had just moved to Boise a few weeks earlier. We popped in and had dinner with them Sunday night. And wouldn't you know it, his aunt, uncle and ANOTHER cousin were in town visiting so we got to see even more family than we expected.
We sure did get a lot of bang for our buck in Boise -- 1 stop: 5 cousins, an aunt and an uncle.

Looks like such a fun adventure! That is awesome you had so much family to stay with. Can't wait to see where your other adventures took you!
