We had a fun New Years with family. Eric's sister Amy & fam came up from Logan to spend the weekend with us. We also had Eric's sister Debbie & fam -- our "in-town relatives" with us for most of the weekend. We spent New Years at our house -- eating, playing games, watching movies, and just catching up. Little kids were in bed around 9. Big kids 11ish. And the adults were crazy and stayed up talking until past 1:00 am. What were we thinking? We were tired the next day, but it was worth it. We didn't watch the ball drop, toast the New Year, or do a countdown but it was still a great New Years Eve.
Game Playing New Years Eve
New Years Day we went to church and then had dinner at Debbie's house. It was a lovely meal. We did our traditional New Years sheet with the kids. It is a questionnaire that asks about their favorites (favorite game, toy, food, book, etc). We also record their height and weight and have them make a goal for the coming year. It has been fun to watch the changes over the past few years that we've been doing this. We played more games. More adult chit-chat. More quality family time. Love it.
