Renae is not just surviving but thriving in Rexburg. She loves school, her friends, the neighborhood and she never really complains about the weather either -- amazing. Her favorite pastimes include reading, playing with her BFF Mairin, playing with Littlest Pet Shops, stuffed animals or pretending to be an animal. She also loves writing poetry and stories and doing artwork. She is a great helper and a hard worker. Renae is taking piano lessons from a teenager in our neighborhood. Renae is a very talented pianist and plays well, but she "hates it to death" (those are her exact words). She is growing up all too fast. Can't I keep her little for a few years longer???
This is Renae after winning 2nd place (for her age group) in the city Poetry contest.
They had a nice awards ceremony at the Rexburg Tabernacle.
She even won a small cash prize.
This is Renae's Valentine's box. She won an Honorable Mention.
This was her first time entering this contest -- little did we know that some kids (or their parents)
were creating 2 story buildings, fully functioning robots, basketball hoops or realistic castles.
Silly me, I thought it was a Valentine's box decorating contest. Sigh.
Renae had a GREAT time at our family Bowling Night.
She won 3rd place in the family, even beating me!
Not that anyone is keeping track. Wink!Wink!
